Wave 1 Command Cards added to Squad Builder
shnar Looong over due, the Wave 1 Command Cards have been added to the Squad Builder. The data includes everything on the card, including which expansion pack it was contained in, so when we get Filters working on the lists, they will be ready to go.

jkwood I'm loving the squad builder tool, but have a couple of issues:

1. It looks like you are missing two command cards: Overrun (General Weiss) and Surprise Assault (Core)

2. I'm having trouble bringing up my saved squads, in that the display for them doesn't scroll. That means I can only see the first couple of squads and not the rest. I tried this in Chrome, as well as Edge and IE, in case it was a browser-specific glitch, but did not see any difference.

Thanks!

shnar Good catches. I've added the Overrun card, and added vertical scroll bars on the Load dialog. However, I cannot find the card "Surprise Assault" in any of my scans, are you sure that's the name of the card?

jkwood You know, it looks like I made a mistake there. Probably I was thinking of the card "Element of Surprise," but was looking for "Surprise Assault." My bad, and thanks for making those changes!

One other thing I just noticed, too. Not major, but perhaps not too difficult to fix? When I load a saved squad, the cards come up, but the limits don't update unless you add or remove a card. I mean the 40/40 deployment points, or 14/15 command cards. I can work around it easily enough now that I see how, but thought I should mention it.

shnar Yes, I had noticed this bug too, but I hadn't had time to fix it... until now! I just uploaded the fix. Loading a saved squad should calculate the totals now.

jkwood That's great! You're really on top of things! I'll be writing a blog review of IA soon, and I'll be sure to plug your site and the squad builder (yourturngames.wordpress.com). Folks need to be using this tool!

shnar Thanks a bundle! I've been hesitant to promote the site too much yet, since it's still a bit rough around the edges. It wasn't until recently that Saving worked. Now that we can Load/Save, it's at least usable, albiet still a bit clunky (read buggy). I'm working on it as best I can, slowly making progress here and there. Glad that some have been able to find it useful and would love any kind of good word you want to put in for us :)

jkwood If I may submit a feature request, it might be useful to have the ability to print or export a squad (or maybe all saved squads?) to CSV or PDF.

shnar Probably the very next thing I plan on adding. The current page is just too 'graphical' for printing. I want a 'Print' page, mostly white, and will only print the main features of the cards (i.e. printer friendly, useful at tournaments, etc). In fact, I really like how http://xwing-builder.co.uk does their 'print' screen so I was going to do something similar. Don't know when it will be complete, but it's definitely high up on the to-do list (as is a Tournament Tracker and a Campaign Tracker ;)).
